Recently, The British Bulldog was the subject of the Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard podcast. During the Q&A at the end, someone named Nate asked if anyone in the WWE ever noticed that the Bulldog lost every major title bout against Shawn Michaels. Bruce Prichard said Nate was the only one who noticed. Not true, Nate. I noticed it too as I put this network playlist together.
Not only did The British Bulldog lose every major title match against Michaels, but he also lost every singles match they had together. Despite Bulldog’s lopsided win/loss record, this rivalry is still worth checking out. Bulldog could’ve easily been a top five rival for Michaels, had Michaels not returned from his back injury.
Too bad there wasn’t any Rockers vs. British Bulldogs matches. Those could’ve been great and possibly given Davey Boy Smith a few more wins against Shawn Michaels.
