At the beginning of February, the Disney Channel announced that they were going to do a live-action movie based on the Kim Possible cartoon. In a tweet prompting their fans to drop suggestions as to who should play the titular character, WWE’s Becky Lynch decided to nominate herself. After seeing this episode, it’s obvious the live-action Kim would definitely need to know her way around the ring. And have orange hair.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned thanks to Maffew’s Botchamania, is that wrestling nerds love them some Simpsons references. Especially, when you can tie them into a joke about wrestling. So here’s a Simpsons episode full of wrestling references and jokes about wrestling.
Wrestling-Themed TV Shows
With the new Netflix show GLOW already receiving GLOWing rave reviews, it’s safe to assume that pro wrestling fans have finally gotten a live-action TV show about wrestling that gets it right, and to top it off, actually holds some kind of artistic merit. But before you decide to binge on all 10 episodes of Netflix’s latest female empowering dramedy, please refer to this list of those wrestling shows (both animated and live action) that came before GLOW, and died a miserable cancellation, or are actually still airing. But mostly died a miserable cancellation.
