It being October means reviewing something that fits in well with the Halloween season. What better show to capitalize on that than this particular episode of The Stain that features a short homage to the old school El Santo vs. movies, directed by Guillermo Del Toro himself.
El Justiciero Enmascarado
Medium: Animation
Title: El Chavo Animado
Bio: Disillusioned with the current state of lucha libre, and the fact that he doesn’t want to end up a broken and withered old luchador, El Justiciero decides to retire. But then he returns to the ring five minutes later to retain his stronghold on the Lucha Libre Championship.
Signature Move:Â Retiring then returning to the ring, like most retired wrestlers.
El Furioso Desesperado
Medium: AnimationTitle: El Chavo Animado
Bio: A true rudo who’ll stop at nothing to provoke his arch-nemesis to face him in or outside the ring for the Lucha Libre Championship.
Signature Move: Forever jobbing to El Justiciero Enmascarado.
Rip
Medium: Film
Title: No Holds Barred
Bio: Is basically the movie version of Hulk Hogan, but in blue and white instead of the red and yellow. Will also ruin the lives of those who harm his family or threaten his employment with the WWF.
Signature Move: Beating people until they die.
Jake Bullet
Medium: FilmTitle: No Holds Barred
Bio: A wrestler who was an accomplished tag team wrestler, in real life WWF, is somehow a top contender for the WWF World title in the cinematic universe of the WWF. Also, used way too much hairspray.
Signature Move: Coming up short in his one match for the WWF Title.
Candy Crunch
Medium: Television
Title: Jane the Virgin
Bio: The pride of Pensacola found herself on the losing end when she took on Juicy Jordan at the Melee at the Marbella in another match of their never-ending rivalry.
Signature Move: Blowing kisses to the crowd.

In this wrestling episode, Jane the Virgin tries to show us a glimpse of what it would have probably been like if Kharma had decided to continue wrestling while being pregnant. Spoiler alert: the baby bump would’ve been used as a foreign object.
